A Secure Access List is a Data Custodian's Dataset or a subset of a Dataset that has been selected for sharing with one or more Collaborator(s) for a potentially limited amount of time. A Dataset can have one or many Secure Access Lists that can be of all different sizes and durations for sharing with different Collaborators.
When a Data Custodian creates a Secure Access List, they will select exactly which rows to share through the tabular view of a Dataset. The custodian will then decide who to share the list with and for how long. When the custodian shares the list, a Collaborator may view the data from their own FCP dashboard within the Dataset's Secure Access tab.
Key Components of a Secure Access List
Attributes
- Name: The name of the defined Dataset. All Datasets within the platform must have a unique name and version combination
- # of Cases: The number of rows that were selected for sharing
- Date Created: The date the Secure Access List was created
- Owner: The Data Custodian, more specifically the Workgroup Admin for a site
Actions
- Create a New Secure Access List: Create a new Secure Access List for a Dataset as a Data Custodian
- Viewing Data within a Secure Access List: Data can be viewed within a Secure Access List, whether you are the Data Custodian or the person that data is being shared with
Interfaces
