Rhino FCP allows you to view descriptive statistical data as well as actual data values for datasets that you have access to. Sensitive datasets require additional access -- for more information on this type of data, see Sensitive Datasets.
Viewing Dataset Analytics
To view dataset analytics, complete the following steps.
- Select the Analytics link at the top of the Datasets window.
2. The datasets displayed by default show aggregated, descriptive statistical data that allows you to see the shape of the data for initial assessment.
-
Data Completeness shows a summary of the data for each field.
-
Fields show basic descriptive statistics for each field. For some fields there are sort options. In the following example, you can sort by Name or Value.
- Hovering over an information icon allows you to see additional detail, such as the mean and standard deviation of the data.
Adding Filters
To filter specific datasets, complete the following steps.
- Choose the Select Datasets drop down menu. Then select the datasets you want to view. Note that to see more than one dataset at one time, each dataset must share the same schema.
2. Next, choose the fields you want to see by selecting the Select Fields drop down menu.
3. To add a filter, make sure the filter icon is selected (it looks like a funnel and is to the right of the Select Datasets button). When selected, the background of the icon is dark. An entry appears under the Selected datasets section that shows the number of filters already selected and an ADD button.
4. Select the ADD button, then type the filter name or select it from the list.
5. Some filters allow you to indicate which values you want to focus on. Make your selection, then select Apply.
The data is filtered.
Viewing Sensitive Data
To view sensitive data, complete the following steps.
- If you have a sensitive data in the dataset, select the dataset that you want to see from the Select Dataset drop down menu. Or, you can view the data by mousing over the dataset, then selecting the View secure access data pop up that appears.
2. A note appears that indicates that detailed, row-level data will be shown. Select Continue.
3. The secure data appears (if you have access).
4. Select the dataset that you want to see from the Select Dataset drop down menu.
5. If data is underlined with a hyperlink, clicking it reveals more detail.
